kyle sloan

is a New York City–based composer, sound designer, recording artist, and multidisciplinary creative originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. His work explores the intersection of music, movement, and narrative, using sound to shape emotional and spatial experiences within performance.

Sloan holds a B.A. in Electronic Production & Design from Berklee College of Music and works across composition, film, and immersive media. His practice blends live instrumentation, electronic production, and spatial sound design to create narrative-driven compositions that respond to choreography and deepen the emotional architecture of movement.

His recent work includes composing a multichannel soundscape for the Dream Machine Experience at Lincoln Center in collaboration with Nona Hendryx, as well as composing music for the dance duo Baby Teeth for the Resolution Dance Festival at The Place Theatre in London. Sloan also recently composed the score for the short film Remember Me, written and directed by Locke Hutcheson.

In addition to his work for dance and film, Sloan releases music under the moniker Kylos and is currently preparing the release of his debut album. Across all of his work, he approaches sound as a narrative medium, creating immersive sonic environments that connect music, movement, and storytelling.
